Quiz as a medium has all those elements of learning and assessment in a particular subject or multiple subjects. Over the past decade we have been conducting a quiz, every year, in Science, Mathematics, Engineering and Technology for school children, with a view to bring fun and competitive edge based on knowledge and information to the school students.

SciTechJunior is a quiz for classes 7th, 8th and 9th. We bring in the STEM, with relevance to the students at this level. Our quizzing methodology stimulates and encourages children to think on various ways to apply their theoretical knowledge to solve problems. This quiz aids holistic learning, acute ability to analyse and correlate, and apply the theoretical knowledge to solve problems, connect things and thus build clarity of concepts.

 Outline

• The quiz competition will be based on subjects Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Students from Std. 7 to Std. 9 can
  participate in this quiz competition. The medium of the competition will be English only
• This is an “Open to All” quiz, there is no limit on number of teams that can participate per institution. There are limited seats and registration would be on first come first serve basis
• Any team comprising of 3 students, one from Std 7, 8, 9 each can participate in the quiz
• The quiz will held on 7th December 2019. There will be a total of 75 teams of three students each participating in this quiz competition.
• Any team comprising of 3 students, one from Std 7, 8, 9 each can participate in the quiz competition.
• Schedule of the Quiz Competition to be held at Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial hall, Camp:
  08:30 AM – Reporting and Registration
  08:45 AM – 09:15 AM – Welcome and Instructions
  09:15 AM – 09:45 AM – Qualifying Round
  09:45 AM – 10:15 AM – Break
  10:15 AM – 12:30 PM – Final Round
  12:30 PM – 01:00 PM – Valedictory
• All the students will have to stay till 1.00 p.m. irrespective of their selection. Non-finalists will get chance for audience round.
• Students should bring compass box, writing pad and water bottles with them. Rough papers will be provided.
• Light snacks will be provided to all participants
• Entry fee: – Rs. 300/- per team. (Rs. 100- per student)
• There will be the two cash prizes. (1st prize is Rs. 25,000 and 2nd prize is Rs. 18000) A lot of other attractive prizes planned for the winners, participants and guardians
• Last date for submission of details about the group (s) is: 30th November 2019
• Kindly handover the Entry Fee to MESC office at the time of registration.
• Please carry the registration receipt during the quiz to expedite on boarding process
